Ingredients:

  • 400g Chestnuts

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C Fan/Gas Mark 7.
  2. Slice chestnuts with serrated knife, sideways, through shell and inner skin.
  3. In medium saucepan; Place chestnuts in cold water. Bring to an obvious boil. Immediately transfer to roasting tray, split side up.
  4. Roast for about 20 mins.
  5. Remove from oven, cover with clean tea towel. Sit for 10 mins.
  6. Crack open, peel and serve.
