Ingredients:
- 250g cheap porridge oats. 908
- 50g chopped nuts (or more oats). 309
- 125g butter. 939
- 75g golden syrup. 457
- 125g brown or golden caster sugar. 500
Extras (choose one):
- 75g choc chips (optional). 421
- 75g raisins (optional). 220
- 75g cherries (optional). 245
Method:
- Preheat oven 160°C Fan/Gas Mark 4.
- Grease and line 10" ceramic flan dish, OR, 2x 7.¾x5" Pyrex dishes.
- In large saucepan; Melt butter, sugar and syrup.
- Add oats, nuts, extras. Stir to combine.
- Transfer to dish, compress with spoon.
- Bake for 20-25 mins, until lightly golden.
- Cut in dish after 20 mins cooling.
- Cool completely. Break apart.

Tip: Make ½ recipe in one 7.¾x5" mini roaster. Bake for 20-25 mins.
