Makes: 100ml, Time: 30 mins
Ingredients:
- ½ tbsp veg oil
- ½ small onion, finely diced
- 2 tsp garlic purée
- 200ml red wine
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 30g cold butter, chopped
- 1-2 tsp parsley
- ½ tsp sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method:
- In small saucepan; Fry onion and garlic in oil until very soft. 10 mins.
- Whisk in wine, mustard, parsley and sugar, reduce by ⅔ over medium heat.
- Gradually whisk in butter.
- Remove from heat. Season to taste. Serve with steak.
