Ingredients:
- 4 Jubilee tomatoes, chopped. 50
- 2 large onions, chopped. 150
- 2 tbsp veg oil. 248
- 2 tbsp garlic purée. 102
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 4 tsp ground coriander
- 2 tsp cumin
- 2 tsp ginger
- 2 tsp mild chilli powder
- 1 tsp chilli purée (optional). 40
- 4 tsp dried leaf coriander
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 800g chicken liver. 1360
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 Knorr chicken stock pot. 60
- salt to taste
Method:
- In large Pyrex bowl; Cover liver with water. Soak for 30 mins. Rinse and drain.
- In sauté pan; Brown onions in oil. 10 mins.
- Mix in garlic. 2 mins.
- Stir in turmeric, ground coriander, cumin, ginger, chilli powder and purée. 2 mins.
- Add tomatoes. Bring to boil. Cover. Add dash of water if dry. Simmer for 20 mins.
- Add coriander leaf and lemon juice.
- Stir in chicken liver and stock pot. Cook for 5 mins.
- Add garam masala, sugar and salt. Cook, until oil separates. 5-10 mins. Serve.
